Best Practice Teaching Assistant Award!

I am incredibly proud to share that we have achieved the Best Practice Teaching Assistant Award!

This award recognises the hard work, collaboration, and commitment our learning support staff show every day to support pupils’ learning,
progress, and wellbeing. It’s a testament to the way we place value on every adult in the classroom making a measurable difference.

A key part of this journey has been our use of the Education Endowment Foundation’s (EEF) guidance on ‘Making Best Use of Teaching Assistants’.
We’ve aligned our approach to the EEF’s 7 recommendations, including:

  • Ensuring learning support staff are integrated into planning
  • Using learning support staff to deliver structured interventions with fidelity
  • Promoting independent learning rather than dependency
  • Investing in ongoing training and professional development

The impact?

Greater pupil independence, improved attainment for those accessing interventions, and empowered support staff who feel valued and confident in their roles.

Evidence-informed practice isn’t just a buzzword it’s a blueprint for excellence. And I am proud to see it in action every day across our classrooms.

A huge well done and thank you everyone. You make a real difference! 💙
